- Merge Session Capacity: Up to 20 PDF files in a single merge operation (up to 100 MB aggregate).
- Valid Signatures: All uploaded files must start with the genuine PDF magic header (
%PDF-). Non-PDF files (e.g. Word, Excel, images) will be rejected by our validation engine.

Files that are password-protected or cryptographically encrypted cannot be processed by our client-side engine. Modifying encrypted PDF objects without decryption would corrupt the document structure. You must remove password encryption from your file before uploading it to our merge or split tools.

While our engines undergo rigorous automated unit testing across multi-page, scanned, and hybrid documents, PDF structures can vary significantly depending on the authoring software. You agree that:
- You will always inspect and verify your generated merged or split PDF before deleting, overwriting, or discarding original files.
- You will independently verify page numbers, bookmarks, vector graphics, and embedded fonts in your output.
- PDFSplitOrMerge is not liable for data loss, accidental file deletion, or incomplete page exports resulting from your failure to verify outputs.
7. Prohibited Misuse
You agree not to misuse or abuse the Service. Prohibited activities include, without limitation:
- Submitting automated, programmatic, or scripted requests that overwhelm server resources or degrade site performance for other visitors.
- Bypassing rate limits, honeypots, or security filters on the contact form.
- Uploading malicious PDF payloads designed to exploit client-side or server-side memory vulnerabilities.
- Using the Service for any unlawful, defamatory, infringing, or fraudulent purpose.
